"Winter Wonderland" Dance this Saturday


The January Fort Wayne Dancesport "Winter Wonderland" Dance is scheduled for
Saturday, January 12, 2008, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at IPFW's Walb Memorial
Ballroom. The dance will include a lesson in waltz taught by Troy Baeten. In
addition, two Fort Wayne Dancesport youth members (Jordan Myers, pictured
left and Kacy Myers, right) who are students of Baeten will dance with him
in demonstrations. Admission price and other information are available at

Help Finding Competition Partners Available





National Amateur Latin Champions Eugene Katsevman and Maria Manusova

As you just read above, our chapter is hosting its first USA Dance
competition this year. As you'll read in the January newsletter, this event,
like all USA Dance competitions, is for amateur dancers only. There are no
pro/am events. If you'd like to enter but are having trouble finding an
amateur partner with whom to compete, Fort Wayne Dancesport is here to help.
Our chapter Web site now has a "Partner Search" forum on which you can post
a free "partner wanted ad." Just go to our home page (www.fwdancesport.org
<http://www.fwdancesport.org/> ), log in with the form in the lower left
corner of the page (or register for an account if you don't have one yet),
click on "Partner Search" from the Main Menu (upper left of the home page)
and click on "New Thread" to post your ad. While you're on the forum you can

Chapter Web Site "Syndicated"


For Web "power users" who know how to make use of something called an RSS
feed, our chapter home page now supports this function. This makes it
possible to "publish" automatically updated headlines and links to content
from our Web site on another Web site, including Facebook pages, MySpace
pages, "My Yahoo!" pages, etc. You can also view the feed with special
software called an RSS reader. Links to our RSS feed appear in the lower

Chapter Email Distribution Service


Anyone is welcome to sign up for email news like this message (including
people who are not members of our chapter). Anyone who'd like to receive
such messages from the chapter need only subscribe, by going to the Web

the home page and following the instructions that appear. Despite the fact
that new chapter members might have put their email addresses on their
membership forms, no one is automatically subscribed. Every person who
