URGENT MEMO 

TO All USA DANCE Pre-Teen and Youth DanceSport Couples

 DANCING WITH THE STARS AUDITIONS 
DEADLINE - Wed, August 20, Midnight

Dancing With The Stars producers have just contacted USA DANCE for Pre-Teen
and Youth auditions for the next DWTS season (Sept. 22 - Nov. 25).  Last
season showcased six USA Dance couples and was a HUGE HIT.  USA DANCE
dancers once again have this great opportunity to be on the show!

If you are interested in an audition, you must follow these instructions
EXACTLY, and your application MUST be emailed to USA DANCE Public Relations
Director Angela Prince at  publicrelations-dir at usadance.org  NO LATER THAN
Midnight, Wednesday, August 20th. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR APPLICATION --

-- Dance Couples only, ages 8 to 13 (DWTS requirement).  You cannot turn 14
on or before Nov. 18, 2008.  No exceptions will be made.

-- You must be available for the Tuesday showdates of Oct. 14, Oct. 21, Oct.
28 and Nov. 18 and must be available for rehearsals that may be on Sunday
before the showdates.

-- You must have signed parental or legal guardian permission to
participate.

-- You must be a USA Dance member for us to make the application -- please
confirm your membership number.  If you are not an active USA Dance member,
go online and join to get a number.

-- Your application is three parts and MUST be sent to USA DANCE by ONE
EMAIL ONLY  (absolutely, no exceptions).  

The three items needed are:

(1) TYPED BIO-  A neatly typed resume/biography about the couple that
includes Names, Ages, Birthdates, USA DANCE membership numbers, address,
phone numbers, parent names/contact info, dance achievements for past two
years or more.  Include all of this information and send the bio as a WORD
file attachment to the email - do not type the bio in the body of the email
letter; 

(2) PHOTOS-  One to three still photos of the couple together (closeup with
faces showing) preferably in costume.  Send jpeg images as attachments.

(3) VIDEO-  Recent videos of 2-3 dances in competition or in exhibition --
download your videos on youtube
