 Fort Wayne Dancesport October 20 Dance to Recognize Local Studios,
Instructors

The October Fort Wayne Dancesport Dance is our "Studio/Instructor
Appreciation Dance," scheduled for this Saturday, October 20, 2007, from 7
p.m. to 11 p.m. at IPFW's Walb Memorial Ballroom. Dancers are encouraged to
wear hats so they can give a "tip of the hat" to the instructors. 

There will be no dance lesson at this dance, which means general dancing
will begin right away, not at 8:15, as is the case with dances preceded by a
lesson. Rather than taking time for a lesson, the chapter will offer time
throughout the evening for local instructors/studios to provide brief
presentations about their businesses. This will be an opportunity for the
chapter to express its appreciation for all the support it receives from
these studios and instructors throughout the year.  

The following information applies to this dance as well as other monthly
dances:

*	Dances take place at the IPFW Walb Student Union Building Ballroom
(see a campus map, look for  <http://www.ipfw.edu/campus/maps/> building 9
and parking garage 2). When you reach the IPFW campus, follow the "USABDA
Dance" signs. The ballroom offers a large dance floor. 

*	The following admission charges apply: 

*         Adult members $6.00

*         Adult non-members $10.00.

*         Youth members $3.00

*         Youth non-members $5.00

*	New members who join at a dance get free admission to that dance. 

*	Singles and couples are welcome. 

*	Absolute beginners are welcome! 

*	Our DJs play a variety of high-quality recorded music, including
music for the following dances: Cha-cha, east coast swing, foxtrot, hustle,
mambo, merengue, rumba, samba, tango, waltz, Viennese waltz and west coast
swing. 

*	Our membership comprises dancers of all levels who are eager to
share dances with newcomers.
